The Cape defines the concept of a destination hotel for Cabo San Lucas, and reaches an impeccably high standard of service and sophistication.
Nestled on a perfect stretch of beach a stone’s throw across the water from the Arch of Cabo San Lucas, The Cape is a sleek yet charming escape. Entering the premises from the scenic coastal highway, the hotel’s facade is somewhat stark and imposing, an embodiment of Californian minimalism. Eventually the winding path opens up to a cinematic view of the ocean, fit for a James Bond movie set. Checking in, you’ll be offered a refreshing glass of lemongrass tea on ice while you take in the surroundings.
The hotel follows a downward sloping path toward the ocean, with amenities stacked on three levels in between. The grounds are immaculate, with beautiful walk-through gardens lining every path, inviting you to explore and wander as you saunter between pools and restaurants. The crown jewel is a massive infinity pool large enough for lap swimming, but a better plan is to simply watch the waves roll in, and let the rhythms of the ocean ease you into a state of relaxation. Every morning around 8am, pool staff can be seen preparing every lounger with a fresh, soft white towel, creating comfortable and inviting seating for long pool days. Cabanas are also plentiful and available for all guests on a first-come, first-served basis. Point Break is the hotel’s swim-up bar, offering libations such as pina coladas alongside include fresh catch-of-the-day ceviche and more. A second saltwater pool is more intimate and invites you to take a private swim amidst stunning rock formations.
When it’s time to take respite from the elements, your room is a sanctuary of sorts – a jewel box overlooking the stunning surrounds. Each room features spa-like bathrooms with rainfall shower heads, and some with soaking tubs. The beauty of staying at The Cape is how self-contained the property is – with five restaurants, two pools, a full-service spa and so many more activities. Open all day long for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, The Ledge is one of those places which will keep you returning for more Mexican-Californian fusion favorites. Fine dining option Manta offers a world-class dining experience and destination all its own, led by renowned Mexican chef Enrique Olvera.
Currents Spa is an award-winning, full-service experience offering all manner of ways to relax including a sauna, steam room and beach-side massage tables, but the real highlight here is a hideaway featuring a warm soaking pool, hot tub, and an ice-cold plunge pool which will revitalize you in seconds.
Each way you turn at The Cape, beautiful California modern architecture sets the mood and paints an unforgettable scene. Nighttime opens up a different kind of energy on the rooftop, where you will find a premier nightlife destination underneath expansive views of the sea and stars.
